Logical Expressions offers advertising on our three highest-traffic Web sites: ComputorCompanion.com, LogicalTips.com, and Pet-Tails.com. This page explains how advertising works on our sites, so you know exactly what you are getting when you buy advertising.

Buying Ad Space

When you purchase advertising space from us, we'll work with you to get your ad placed on our site. Here's what happens:

• When we receive your store order for advertising, we contact you using the information you provided. When you order, please provide a phone number and email address that can be used to quickly get in contact with you. You may feel free to contact us first if you prefer.
• You provide an ad graphic that meets our specifications (see below), and the alternate text you want to display when visitors hover over the ad.
• Alternatively, you can provide the title and text for a plain-text ad block.
• You provide the URL you want us to associate with the ad. When visitors click on the ad, our redirector will open a new browser window and forward visitors to the URL you specify. Feel free to include a conversion tracking code on the URL you provide.
• In the first week of the month following the run of your ad, we'll send you an ad performance report in PDF format via email. This report will show you all of your ads, how many views they received, how many clicks they generated, and the click conversion percentage.

Advertising Period

We run ads for one full month at a time. Your ad will always start rotating at midnight (Pacific Time) on the first day of a month, and stop rotating after midnight on the last day of that month.

Additional discounts are available if you want to purchase multiple months in advance.

How Our Ads Work

All ads on our sites are "tile" ads that appear on the right-hand side of the article pages (see image at right). The Web sites have either two or three positions in which ads rotate. We call these positions "placements."

To allow for ad rotation and to control how often each ad appears, every placement rotates ads within a certain number of "slots." Currently, each placement has ten slots, so if an ad takes up 2 slots, it would be randomly selected for display approximately 20 percent of the time.

Here's a specific example of how this works. If you were to buy 2 Computor Companion slots, your advertisement would appear to visitors approximately 20% of the time in one of the placements whenever the site displays an article page. In December of 2007, that translated to about 14,000 impressions. If you were to buy 3 slots instead, your ad would be seen 30% of the time, for a total of about 21,000 impressions.

Ad Graphic Specifications

All ad graphics must meet the following specifications to be considered for placement on any Logical Expressions site:

• In .gif or .jpg format and under 20K in size.
• Exactly 120 pixels wide.
• From 180 to 240 pixels high.
• Must relate to the subject matter of the Web site.

We reserve the right to reject any ad that contains inappropriate content or is not relevant to our Web site visitors. Please note that we cannot guarantee that a specific ad will display (or not display) with a specific article. All ads rotate equally on all article pages, so your ad has the same chance of displaying, regardless of the article.
